1) Kobe was on fire but he needed to get others involved
Kobe was unstoppable in that triple-threat position, but he needed to drive into the paint and find his teammates. Penetration leads to open shots. Plus, Kobe had a big turnover with about 20 seconds to go that gave the Mavs the ball to win the game. And I know Kobe has done it so many times in the past, but he has to make that three-pointer at the buzzer. Tough series from here on out.
2) Pau Gasol needs to assert himself
Pau should have played smarter. He took a tough fadeaway jumper that was blocked by Tyson Chandler and then fouled Dirk giving the Mavs two free throws to take the lead. Throughout the game, Chandler got easy baskets, but I do like how Pau didn't back down from trash-talking with Chandler, a man straight out of Compton. Also in his postgame interview, he said the last few foul calls were "questionable" and that "$#!% happens."
3) I HATE Mark Cuban
This idiot is cheering after the game. It's just one game! Sit your @$$ down and don't come to the Lakers games. Go sit in a luxury suite like a regular owner, you retard. If you become the owner of the Dodgers, I will kick your weak @$$.
4) I had a feeling the Lakers would lose Game 1
Lakers got a big lead and then started taking long threes and relaxed. Give credit to Dallas because if the Lakers hadn't been bailed out at the end of the first half, the Mavs would have won by double digits. OK, maybe not, but the Mavs totally outplayed the Lakers in the second half.
5) Lakers in 5
This is optimistic, but I think the Lakers will get it done. They just have to pound it inside to Bynum and have Kobe attack inside more often. Lakers win the next four and Cuban will be crying to the media that the refs gave the Lakers the series. But you can go you-now-what Mark Cuban.
